Fused Glass 1-Day Workshop

The Workshop

Workshop starts at 11am. This is a workshop where your creative imagination can run riot. It isn’t so much about cutting glass but more about playing with glass shards, frit (crushed glass), stringers and noodles (long thin strips of glass like spaghetti). You will be arranging them on a piece of pre-cut clear glass to create an abstract image or a pretty wild flower scene, or wherever your creative mind takes you. Once fired in the kiln, these pieces can then be either slumped over a mould to form a bowl or left flat and used as a wall hanging. As this process takes a day or so to complete, it’s not possible to take home your piece on the day, therefore you can arrange to collect it when it’s ready or it will be posted to you at an additional cost. Cost for day €150. All prices include tea and coffee and of course all the tools and materials that you require on the day. Please bring a packed lunch. These workshops are fun and relaxing and a real break away from life. Please see the calendar for available dates.
